The County of Santa Clara (County) Behavioral Health Services Department (BHSD) is seeking applications from qualified property owners and operators of unlicensed independent living homes serving individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) who are chronically homeless or experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness for participation in the Independent Living Home (ILH) Habitability Improvements Project. The purpose of this project is to provide forgivable loans for future minor construction and rehabilitation improvements to improve conditions and enhance habitability and safety for homes serving BHSD clients.
