Horizon Services

Organization Mission: Horizon Services, Inc. is a non-profit, community based organization committed to reducing alcohol and drug related problems within the community. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals, families, and the community affected by alcohol and drug abuse and mental health issues by providing compassionate, effective prevention, treatment and recovery services.

Mental Health Services: Horizon South does not provide direct mental health services; however, we do provide substance use services to men with co-occurring mental health issues and assist them by making their medications available to them and maintain collaboration with the Mental Health Department and other agencies providing concurrent mental health services.

Drug and Alcohol Services for Criminal Justice System:  Horizon South (HSO) provides ASOC detoxification and residential services to the criminal justice system, including in-custody releases and is contracted for two (2) BASN beds.

Other Drug and Alcohol Services: HSO provides detoxification and residential treatment services to adult men through the DADS Adult System of Care, including services to men with co-occurring disorders, acquired and traumatic brain injury, developmentally disabled, and men with a variety of physical disorders. Our facility is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Services include individual and group counseling, AOD education and relapse prevention classes.

Other System of Care or Related Services: Crisis counseling, referral services, family groups and host facility for three (3) twelve step meetings per week.

Language Capacity:  We provide English only treatment services, but do have Spanish speaking staff available for monolingual clients.
