Organization Mission: The Seneca Family of Agencies’ mission is to help youth and families through the most difficult times of their lives. By supporting each youth and family in identifying and building upon their resources and strengths, we enable them to approach the future with renewed optimism and a stronger sense of the possibilities for creating a new and different story for their lives.
Mental Health Services:
- Wraparound: Wraparound is a service model designed to safely return youth in high-level group home care to their families and communities or to help youth at imminent risk of placement outside of the home to remain safely with their families in the community. Seneca tailors treatment and support services to address challenging behaviors and meet service needs, even as they change over time. Service Plans developed by the Child and Family Team integrate an array of services offered by the Seneca team and are individualized to help families successfully meet their goals. Services are delivered in the community or in our offices and include: case management and facilitation, round-the-clock crisis support, individual and family therapy, psychiatric services, support counseling, parent mentoring, and Triple-P.
- Positive, Lasting, Unconditional Support – PLUS Intensive Wraparound: Seneca PLUS serves Santa Clara County’s highest needs youth and their families in the Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice systems to achieve permanency, safety, and stability in the community with their birth or extended family. Founded on the principles of Wraparound, PLUS provides culturally-competent, family-driven, and strengths-based unconditional care for youth and families who struggle with the most profound needs and difficulties. The PLUS program is able to provide 24/7 staffing and develop service plans and linkages to safely stabilize the youth in their current living situations, but make the progress required for them to achieve permanency. The PLUS program focuses on supporting children not only by providing unconditional care in the context of a family setting, but also by developing specialized foster homes (Treatment-Focused Foster Families) who have expertise in the field of mental health and social services and can offer short-term relationally-behaviorally based stabilization. Services are delivered in the community or in our offices and include: case management and facilitation, round-the-clock crisis support, individual and family therapy, psychiatric services, support counseling, parent mentoring, and Triple-P.
- Support and Enhancement Services (SES): Support and Enhancement Services are provided as a collaborative partnership between Santa Clara County’s Department of Probation, Unity Care Group, and Seneca Family of Agencies. The program’s primary goals are to reduce recidivism, increase psychosocial functioning, and increase community safety. SES provides evidence-driven assessment, planning, linkage, and treatment services to help youth and their families meet the terms of their probation and exit the legal system as quickly as possible. Services are delivered in the community or in our offices and include: case management and facilitation, round-the-clock crisis support, individual and family therapy, psychiatric services, support counseling, parent mentoring, and Triple-P.
Other System of Care or Related Services: Seneca-Kinship Center also provides Adoption and Intensive Treatment Foster Care (ITFC) placement programs in addition to Professional Parent homes.
