Kidango

Organization Mission: At Kidango our mission is to inspire children, empower families and build stronger communities, so that children have access to the best possible opportunities for growth. Since 1979, Kidango has offered a wide range of early care, education, and health services for children from 0 – 12 years of age.

Mental Health Services: We provide various mental health services for our clients from 0-12 years of age irrespective from income and background. Services are specifically tailored and individualized to meet the needs of each child/family. Providers work with clients in the home, at school or out in the community to ensure the variety of needs of the child/family are met.

Other System of Care or Related Services: At Kidango we provide center-based and home-based early learning and preschool programs from 0 – 5 years of age as well as before and after school programs for school-age children. In our transitional Kindergarten we focus on early intervention of developmental delays and behavioral challenges. We are also part of the Head Start and Early Head Start programs and operate child waiting rooms in county courthouses.

Language Capacity: Our language capacity includes: English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Hindi, Punjabi, Farsi, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Russian, Tagalog, Amharic, Bosnian, and Portuguese.

Departments Contracted With: Department of Mental Health, Santa Clara County Office of Education, Department of Family, and Children’s Services and USDA Child Care Food Program
